Luton Town’s new Power Court stadium is beginning to take shape, with concrete work on the South Stand marking another significant stage of construction.

A fresh update shows progress across the site, including further work on the West Stand and preparations for more concrete pours elsewhere.

Power Court footage shows South Stand progress

The latest footage from Power Court shows the West Stand’s second-floor support pillars now complete, while the South Stand has reached the point where reinforced concrete can begin to be poured.

The use of reinforced concrete in the South Stand is intended to provide scope for potential future expansion, adding flexibility to Luton’s long-term plans for the 25,000-capacity stadium.

Elsewhere, flooring has been installed in the southeast part of the stand, with work continuing around the car park entrance and planned retail areas.

The Northwest Stand is also being prepared for another concrete pour, with piling being exposed and rebar installed in an area expected to accommodate catering storage.

The footage also highlights the separate council-led arena project across the road from Power Court, which is progressing at a faster pace than the stadium development.

FGG says: Luton Town’s Power Court finally taking shape

This is the kind of progress Luton fans will want to see more regularly, particularly with the South Stand now moving beyond foundation work and into concrete construction.

The project is still some way from being finished, but each new floor, pillar and section of reinforced concrete makes the eventual 25,000-seater easier to visualise.

After everything Luton have been through to secure a permanent new home, seeing the stands gradually rise at Power Court is a hugely positive sight.
