Although there was plenty of expectation in the air among England football fans in the build-up to Euro 2024, not many would have truly believed that the Three Lions would now be looking forward to the final in Berlin on Sunday, 14 July.
Despite iffy performances on the pitch in the early stages of the tournament, England fans in Germany for Euro 2024 have made the most of every city they have visited along the way. They have participated in the culinary banter trend, created new chants, had a sing-song with opposition fans and partied until the early hours.
On the whole, they've also behaved themselves, which could signal that England's association with violence at major tournaments is now a thing of the past.
England fans in Germany for Euro 2024: City by City
England fans in Gelsenkirchen
Gelsenkirchen is the only city that England have visited twice during Euro 2024 and although fans encountered issues with transport and watered-down beer on both visits, it turned out to be a happy hunting ground for the Three Lions.
England defeated Serbia here in their opening match of the tournament before overcoming Slovakia in the Round of 16. It will forever be a place synonymous with Jude Bellingham after the Real Madrid man netted a last-minute overhead kick to keep England in the competition.
One England fan has a unique story to tell from his time in Gelsenkirchen, as seen via the video below.

England fans in Frankfurt
England faced Denmark in Frankfurt in their second match of Euro 2024. On the pitch, the Three Lions were poor but escaped with a point thanks to some dogged defending late on.
Off it, England football fans managed to make a game and a song out of putting a pint glass on someone's head and slowly filling it up with beer.

England fans in Cologne
England's final group match of Euro 2024 took place in Cologne against Slovenia. The match came two days after Scotland's exit from the competition so England fans spent much of the build-up poking fun at their neighbours after their miserable campaign.

England fans in Dusseldorf
England fans in Germany finally got to visit the stunning city of Dusseldorf for the quarter-finals. The Three Lions faced Switzerland and had to come through a nail-biting penalty shootout to progress to the semi-finals.
Officially, only 7,000 England fans were supposed to be inside the Merkur Spiel Arena on the night but as the scenes below show, there were far more. Estimates from local officials suggest that the true number was upwards of 40,000.

England fans in Dortmund
England fans travelled to Dortmund for their semi-final against the Netherlands and for once, they were outnumbered by Dutch supporters. The famous Yellow Wall at Signal Iduna Park became the ‘Orange Wall' for the evening but it was England who came out on top thanks to a late strike from Ollie Watkins.
Before the match, the atmosphere between both sets of supporters was largely positive. At one moment, a group of Netherlands supporters joined England fans for a rendition of ‘Hey Jude'.
