Two non-league grounds could host international stars during Euro 2028 as team base camps revealed

Two non-league football grounds have been included on UEFA's list of potential training bases for Euro 2028, offering the prospect of international teams preparing for the tournament away from the usual elite facilities.

Farnborough and Southport are among the clubs whose stadiums feature in the official catalogue of 36 potential team base camps.

UEFA has unveiled its official team facilities catalogue for Euro 2028, giving national associations the opportunity to assess potential accommodation and training facilities ahead of the tournament.

The list includes a wide range of locations across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, with each base camp combining a hotel and a nearby training facility designed to meet the needs of international teams.

Farnborough FC's Cherrywood Road features as part of the Hampshire base camp, which pairs the non-league club's ground with the Four Seasons Hampshire hotel.

Southport FC's Haig Avenue is also included, forming part of the Liverpool Formby option alongside Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa.

Both grounds feature alongside facilities belonging to established professional clubs, including Everton's Finch Farm, Liverpool's training facilities and Manchester City's City Football Academy at the Etihad.

The catalogue contains 36 potential team base camps, with national associations encouraged to visit and assess their preferred locations before making a final decision.

While some teams will secure qualification by November 2027, final base camp selections are expected in January 2028.

Euro 2028 will take place from June 9th to July 9th across eight host cities and nine venues in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
