AFC Bournemouth's Vitality Stadium redevelopment has entered a crucial stage with three weeks remaining until the club's first Premier League home match.

Fresh footage shows work accelerating across multiple areas as contractors race to ensure the stadium is ready for the start of the 2026/27 season.

Major Vitality Stadium update emerges three weeks before new season

The latest construction update via ‘Back of the Net' from the Vitality Stadium shows the Cherries' redevelopment entering one of its busiest phases, with major structural work progressing across the site just 26 days before the first home fixture.

Preparations are gathering pace in both corner sections, where steelwork is being readied, and heavy machinery remains in constant use.

New lift shafts are also being installed, although the corners are not expected to be fully complete in time for the opening game of the season.

Elsewhere, the Main Stand continues to edge towards completion.

Roof panels have largely been finished, new turnstile canopies have been installed and are now being painted in the club's colours, while work continues inside the revamped club shop and hospitality facilities.

Attention has also turned to the playing surface, with GrassMaster hybrid technology now being installed to strengthen the pitch ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

New LED screens are also planned for the lift shafts and canopy extensions as part of the wider stadium upgrade.

Away from the stands, contractors are managing a complex programme of deliveries and pedestrian access improvements, including a new route around the Park View apartments designed to improve supporter movement on matchdays.

FGG says: Bournemouth are entering the most important stage of the redevelopment

With less than a month until the new season, every week now feels crucial for Bournemouth's redevelopment team.

While some elements, particularly the corner infills, may not be finished for the opener, the overall project appears to be progressing well enough for the Vitality to welcome supporters safely.

The focus will now be on completing the essential operational works, with cosmetic finishing touches likely to continue well beyond the opening weeks of the 2026/27 campaign.
