New Vitality Stadium update highlights main stand roof progress alongside important fan upgrade

AFC Bournemouth's stadium redevelopment is progressing at pace, with another visible milestone reached ahead of the new Premier League season.

Alongside progress on the expanded Main Stand, supporters will also see improvements that should make getting around the stadium much easier on matchdays.

The latest construction footage from the Vitality Stadium shows significant progress on the Main Stand redevelopment, with the southern balcony extension now taking on a much more complete appearance.

The roof and external cladding for the extension have now been completed, while new glazed roof panels have also been installed at both ends of the stand.

Elsewhere, construction of the new turnstile canopies is advancing rapidly. Several entrances are now fitted with roofs and black cladding, including a new central canopy outside the main reception that has appeared over the past week.

Supporter access is also being improved around the ground, with new pedestrian routes beginning to take shape.

Fresh kerbing has been installed to create walkways around the stadium perimeter, helping improve crowd movement as the redevelopment continues.

Away from the stands, work is progressing on the outside broadcast compound, new perimeter fencing and underground infrastructure, while the playing surface is also looking in excellent condition ahead of the new campaign.

In the southeast corner of the site, fresh concrete has been poured in preparation for future steelwork, with the larger South Stand redevelopment expected to gather momentum during the season once foundation work begins.

The Main Stand is now beginning to resemble the finished product, while the new pedestrian routes and upgraded entrances are equally important additions that should improve the matchday experience for supporters.

With the season fast approaching, Bournemouth are ticking off key milestones and maintaining impressive momentum across the redevelopment.

Some of the biggest structural work is still to come, but the steady progress suggests the club remains firmly on track with its long-term vision for the Vitality Stadium.
