Zaha celebrates with Galatasaray fans following league title victory

Wilfried Zaha was spotted celebrating with Galatasaray fans following their second consecutive title victory. The Ivory Coast winger has scored nine goals and registered three assists in the Turkish Süper Lig.

Zaha struggles with injury in early stages of season

Zaha completed his move to the Turkish giants in July 2023 on a three-year deal. The former Crystal Palace struggled for fitness early in the season. In fact, in September 2023, the Galatasaray said: “Zaha had very long and recurring muscle injuries last season. He had to take [to] the field so that the team were not [to] be relegated. The sacrifices he made for his previous team have worn out the player.”

Since October 2023, Zaha has played much more regularly for Galatasaray and has helped them secure their 24th Turkish league title with 102 points. They finished three points above Fenerbahçe, who only lost one game all season.

Galatasaray beat Konyaspor in their final match of the campaign, prompting wild celebrations from their loyal supporters. A day after they won the title, Zaha was seen on a balcony singing along with fans below who had come in their numbers to serenade members of the title-winning squad.
