Chelsea will continue their turbulent UEFA Champions League campaign on Tuesday, 9 December, when they travel to Italy to take on Atalanta.

Coming into the match, the Blues have ten points from five matches and are still in with a chance of finishing inside the top eight. However, to turn those hopes into reality, they can ill afford to lose in Bergamo.

If you are a Chelsea fan making the trip over to Bergamo for the clash with Atlanta, then our guide below has all the information you need to know ahead of the trip.

How many Chelsea fans are going to Bergamo?

Chelsea have been given an allocation of 1,304 tickets for the match at the New Balance Arena. The stadium has a capacity of just shy of 25,000, so this allocation is slightly higher than the minimum that Chelsea were entitled to.

All of these tickets are now sold out after originally going on sale at the end of November. Chelsea season ticket holders and members with the most loyalty points were given priority.

There is a chance that more than 1,304 Chelsea fans will travel over to Italy for the match without tickets. There are regular direct flights between London and Bergamo, which makes it an easy place to visit, even if you just want to sample the matchday atmosphere

Where will Chelsea fans sit at the New Balance Arena?

Chelsea fans will be located in the southwestern corner of the Curva Sud Morisini at the New Balance Arena. This stand is behind the goal at the south end of the stadium and provides excellent views of the pitch.

Due to the compact, single-tiered nature of the entire stadium, Chelsea fans will feel on top of the action from here, which is a novelty for a European away section. The away section is located at the opposite end of the stadium to where the Atalanta ultras stand.

  • Wood Beer and Drinks – Piazza Pontida, 18, 24122 Bergamo BG, Italy
  • The Tucan's – Via Gaetano Donizetti, 25/A, 24129 Bergamo BG, Italy

How to get to the New Balance Arena: Guide for Chelsea fans in Bergamo

The stadium is located around 3km away from the centre of Bergamo, which equates to roughly a 40-45 minute walk. If its a nice day in the city and you are able to do so, then walking isn't the worst idea in the world, particularly as there are plenty of pubs and restaurants worth checking out en route.

Alternatively, if you want to use public transport, then your best option is to use the local ATB bus service via line 9. This service stops at the city's main railway station and airport and drops you right outside the stadium.
