New York City FC have revealed when supporters can expect to get their first glimpse inside the club's long-awaited new home before its official opening next summer.
The phased rollout comes as the MLS side continue to be linked with a marquee signing to usher in a new era at Etihad Park.

New York City FC will begin a series of test events at their new £600 million Etihad Park from April 2027, ahead of the stadium's official opening on July 17th 2027.
CEO Brad Sims confirmed the club plans to “soft launch” the venue with a range of small-scale events, including testing City Square outside the stadium, trialling entrances and seating sections, staging team training sessions and putting kitchens and concession stands through their paces.
The club is also targeting an international friendly next June as part of the testing programme before kicking off the 2027/28 MLS season at their permanent new home.
Meanwhile, NYCFC is continuing to roll out ticket sales for Etihad Park, with around 2,500 lower-bowl seats currently available in Phase 5. The larger Phase 6 general sale is expected to begin later this year, although pricing has yet to be confirmed.
The opening of the 25,000-capacity stadium will coincide with MLS' move to a European-style calendar, with Sims insisting the timing “lines up perfectly” for both the club and the league.
Off the pitch, NYCFC continue to be linked with a statement signing ahead of the move.
Sporting director Todd Dunivant admitted the club would “absolutely” welcome the opportunity to sign USMNT and former Chelsea star Christian Pulisic, although he stressed they would not delay other recruitment plans while pursuing a marquee arrival.

Soft-launch events are a vital part of any major stadium opening, allowing clubs to test everything from crowd movement and catering to safety procedures before welcoming a full-capacity crowd.
With Etihad Park now less than a year away, the project is entering one of its most important phases.
Pairing the stadium opening with the start of MLS' new competition format could also provide New York City FC with the perfect platform to launch a new chapter, particularly if they can add another marquee name to their squad.
The combination of a brand-new stadium, a revamped MLS calendar and the prospect of a high-profile signing has the potential to make 2027 one of the biggest moments in New York City FC's history.
