Arsenal friendlies 2024: Who are they playing?

It is an important year for the Gunners, after two consecutive second-place finishes, there is a real feeling among the staff, the players and the fanbase that this season could be the one that finally sees them crowned Premier League champions.

The club have, therefore, taken pre-season extremely seriously with some huge fixtures scheduled. Arteta's side have already played against Bournemouth and Manchester United during their tour of the USA, and have matches against the likes of Liverpool still to come.

In total, Arsenal have three more friendlies still to play. including clashes against Bayer Leverkusen and Lyon upon their return to the United Kingdom.

Fixture dates for Arsenal friendlies 2024

  • July 20 – Arsenal 2-0 Leyton Orient
  • July 25 – Arsenal 1-1 Bournemouth
  • July 28 – Arsenal 2-1 Manchester United
  • August 1 – Arsenal vs Liverpool- Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia – kick-off: 12.30am BST
  • August 7 – Arsenal vs Bayer Leverkusen, Emirates Stadium – kick-off: 6pm BST
  • August 11 – Arsenal vs Lyon, Emirates Stadium – kick-off: 2pm BST

Tickets for Arsenal friendlies 2024

Unfortunately, it has been a theme throughout overseas pre-season fixtures being priced extremely high – and Arsenal vs Liverpool is no expectation.

Tickets for the match are still available to purchase via the club's official website, however, the cheapest seat will currently set you back an astonishing $120. That is an extortionate price to pay for a friendly, especially when, as many fans have pointed out, there is no guarantee that a full-strength eleven will be fielded.

The Gunners' clashes with Bayer Leverkusen and Lyon, on the other hand, propose an entirely different issue for supporters wanting to purchase tickets – they have currently sold out on the official website.

This means that you're only option at this stage is to purchase tickets via third-party resale websites, which is an extremely risky thing to do as the authenticity of said tickets is incredibly hard to confirm.

One such website is  Live Football Ticketson which a seat for the Leverkusen game will set you back £49, while a ticket for the Lyon game will command a fee of £59.

Where to watch Arsenal friendlies 2024

For their 2024/25 pre-season campaign, Arsenal have been offering a variety of packages that grant supporters access to live coverage for either a specific match or a combination. With just three fixtures remaining, your choices are a little more limited than they would have been beforehand, but the two remaining options are:

  • Arsenal vs Liverpool Pass – £4.99
  • August Pre-season Pass (Bayer Leverkusen and Lyon matches only)- £8.99

Therefore, if you want to watch all three of Arsenal's remaining friendlies in 2024, you will unfortunately be required to purchase both passes – costing you £13.98.

Whether you decide to purchase a ticket, or indeed watch from home using the above passes, we hope you are treated to some entertaining football.
