Arsenal have secured a major commercial boost after agreeing an early extension to one of the biggest sponsorship deals in English football.
The new agreement reflects the club's growing success on and off the pitch in recent seasons.
Arsenal agree to new Emirates deal early
Arsenal have agreed a new long-term sponsorship deal with Emirates worth a reported £70 million per year, extending the airline's association with the club ahead of the current agreement's scheduled expiry in 2028.
The renewed partnership covers both the naming rights to Emirates Stadium and front-of-shirt sponsorship for Arsenal's men's and women's teams, per the Telegraph.
The previous deal was understood to be worth around £45-50 million annually, making the new agreement a significant increase and one of the most valuable sponsorship contracts in European football.
The improved terms follow Arsenal's resurgence under Mikel Arteta, with the men's team winning the Premier League title and the women's side lifting the UEFA Women's Champions League, boosting the club's commercial appeal.
The deal was negotiated by chief commercial officer Juliet Slot, who is set to leave the club later this year after overseeing a dramatic rise in Arsenal's commercial revenues since joining in 2021.
Arsenal reported record annual revenues of £691 million earlier this year, with commercial income increasing from £218 million to £263 million, helping the club strengthen its position under UEFA's financial regulations while continuing to invest in the squad.
FGG says: A fine reward for Arsenal's growth
The Emirates Stadium has become one of the most recognisable homes in world football over the past two decades, so extending the partnership always felt like the logical outcome for both parties.
This is another sign of Arsenal's growing commercial strength.
Success on the pitch is translating into greater financial power off it, giving the club an even stronger platform to compete with Europe's elite in the years ahead.
