Work on the redevelopment of Villa Park is gathering pace, with the latest aerial footage showing significant progress across several areas of the stadium this past week.
The transformation is becoming increasingly visible as Aston Villa continue their major project to modernise and expand their historic home.
Latest Villa Park footage shows significant step forward
Fresh drone footage captured on July 8th shows how much has changed at Villa Park in just seven days, with intensive groundwork continuing alongside more immediately visible progress around the stands.
Drilling and piling operations remain a major focus of the project, preparing the foundations required for the new structures.
However, perhaps the most eye-catching development can be seen in the corner of the stadium, where new terracing is rapidly taking shape, and rows of seats are already being installed.
Work is also continuing on the existing North Stand, with sections of its roof being systematically removed as the redevelopment moves forward.
The lower part of the stand is being retained and reconfigured as part of the wider project, with existing areas incorporated into the new design.
Elsewhere, the pitch has now been uncovered, while footage also shows progress on new supporting infrastructure around the stadium.
The speed of recent work has impressed supporters following the project closely.
One fan described the latest update as “brilliant”, adding that work was “moving fast in the corners”, while another questioned whether favourable summer weather may have helped the redevelopment move ahead of schedule.
FGG says: Villa Park redevelopment becomes more impressive by the week
For months, much of the most important work at Villa Park has involved demolition, preparation and groundwork, but supporters are now beginning to see more tangible signs of what the finished redevelopment will eventually look like.
The appearance of new terracing and seating is a particularly significant step, while continued progress on the North Stand shows the scale of the transformation taking place.
There remains a huge amount of work ahead, but each fresh update is making the project feel increasingly real for Villa supporters.
