Barcelona vice-president Antonio Escudero believes there is a strong possibility that the Spotify Camp Nou will host the 2030 World Cup final, as debate continues over which stadium will stage the showpiece.

Speaking to Cadena SER's ‘Aquí Girona' programme (via Mundo Deportivo), Escudero made clear that the club would welcome the opportunity to host the final.

“We would like it very much. I think so, it is very possible. The sports authorities of the world are for the work. We have made a great effort and we have a great stadium. We have a great stadium, it's time,” he said.

Escudero went further by suggesting there was “a very high percentage” of the final being held at the Camp Nou.

The venue faces competition from other potential hosts, with the Bernabeu and Morocco also mentioned in discussions surrounding the 2030 showpiece.

The Barcelona chief also addressed the ongoing redevelopment, expressing confidence that the work would be completed within the scheduled timeframe.

He acknowledged that he had previously questioned the decision to leave the Olympic Stadium in Montjuic, but said the club's financing arrangements and other considerations had influenced the move.

Escudero also dismissed suggestions that Barcelona were considering increasing season-ticket prices, insisting the matter was not under discussion.
