Barcelona have submitted a detailed dossier to UEFA relating to damage imposed to the away section at Camp Nou by Eintracht Frankfurt supporters.

The La Liga giants were in action at their iconic home on matchday six of the Champions League, with the hosts picking up a much-needed success.

Rather surprisingly, it was full-back Jules Kounde who came up with the goalscoring excellence for Barca, netting a brilliant brace to win the contest 2-1.

It appeared as if the Catalan club were on course for a shock defeat in the 21st minute, when Eintracht Frankfurt opened the scoring.

However, Hansi Flick's side completed a comeback and now sit 15th in the League Phase standings, two points off the top-eight spots.

Barcelona demand UEFA action after Frankfurt fans disgrace

According to Spanish outlet SPORT, Barcelona were left devastated by the condition of Camp Nou following the Champions League clash earlier this week.

The report claims that the Spanish giants have submitted a detailed dossier to UEFA outlining the damage inflicted to sections of the ground by Eintracht Frankfurt supporters.

It is understood that large numbers of seats were ripped up and thrown about in the away end, whilst the segregation infrastructure between the home and away fans were also damaged.

There is said to be severe vandalisation of the concourse areas for the travelling supporters, including destruction of restrooms.

As mentioned above, Barca have supposedly submitted their shocking findings to UEFA and are hoping for a strong punishment for Eintracht Frankfurt.

How could Eintracht Frankfurt be punished by UEFA?

Given the scale and nature of the reported damage, it is expected that UEFA will punish Eintracht Frankfurt for the behaviour of their supporters.

The most obvious penalty for the Bundesliga club could arrive in the form of finances, with the team potentially inflicted with a hefty fine.

There is also the possibility that Eintracht Frankfurt supporters are allowed in restricted numbers at future away matches in UEFA competitions.

On the drastic end of the scale, there could be a complete ban on supporters from the German club at European away matches for a set period.

FGG says: No consideration for Camp Nou

In April 2022, Camp Nou played host to one of Eintracht Frankfurt's greatest moments, with the visitors beating Barcelona in the Europa League quarter-final.

On their return to the venue this month, it is clear that supporters of the Bundesliga club have little respect for the iconic ground where they enjoyed a special night prior to the renovation.
