Barcelona have launched a new VIP hospitality package at Spotify Camp Nou that is expected to generate approximately €700m (£602.5m) in committed revenue over the next 15 to 30 years as the club continue their stadium redevelopment.

The LaLiga champions are introducing long-term VIP seat licences in a model similar to personal seat licences commonly used in US sport.

Supporters and customers will be able to secure exclusive rights to individual VIP seats through 15- or 30-year contracts, with an upfront payment and additional premium benefits.

The initiative is being delivered with Legends Global, Barcelona's strategic partner for the development and commercialisation of its hospitality offering.

The partnership builds on a relationship that began in 2022, with the new proposition designed to establish Camp Nou as a leading destination for sports hospitality.

Barcelona target €700m from 2,000 VIP seat licences

The club will make 2,000 remaining VIP seats available through the new licensing model, which Barcelona expects to commercialise over approximately two and a half seasons.

The announcement follows an encouraging initial phase of hospitality sales. Barcelona say nearly 5,000 seats have already been sold, generating more than €380m in committed revenue through contracts of varying durations, with the stadium's suites and boxes have also been fully commercialised.

The latest offering is intended to build on that demand by placing greater emphasis on exclusivity and long-term commitment. Barcelona say the premium experience will combine football, entertainment, gastronomy, dedicated services and other differentiated experiences.

The club added that the new model represents a significant increase on the original financial projections for hospitality within the wider Espai Barca project.

Camp Nou redevelopment reaches new financing milestone

The hospitality announcement comes as Barcelona continue to manage the financial and construction challenges surrounding the renovation of their home stadium.

The club recently approved €510m in additional funding, comprising €300m to complete construction and €210m through two media-note issues guaranteed by audiovisual revenue.

Camp Nou is currently operating at around 62,000 capacity, but Barcelona have outlined a phased return to its full size. Capacity is expected to reach 95,000 by January 2028, before rising to the planned 105,000 for the following season.

The new roof is expected to be ready in just over a year. Its installation could require Barcelona to return temporarily to Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys for several months at the beginning of the 2027-28 campaign.

FGG Says: Hospitality becomes central to Camp Nou's financial future

Barcelona's VIP seat licences offer the club a way to secure substantial revenue commitments over the long term while the redevelopment continues.

The projected €700m would provide a significant commercial return from a limited number of premium seats, although the contracts extend across 15 or 30 years rather than representing annual income.

The model also reflects the growing importance of premium experiences in stadium development, where clubs seek to generate revenue beyond standard match tickets.
