FGG says: Rugby ball stunt at Gtech Community Stadium was pure stupidity
Whatever the intention behind the incident, kicking an object from height towards a live football match is an act of pure stupidity.
A ball travelling into a stadium from an overlooking building could have struck a player, official or supporter, with potentially serious consequences.
The fact that the object was a rugby ball rather than something more obviously dangerous does not make the behaviour harmless.
There simply is no place for this kind of stunt around a packed football ground, where thousands of people would have come to watch a match in safety.
