Brentford have announced a new partnership with technology giant Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) as the club look to improve the matchday experience at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The agreement follows the successful installation of HPE networking technology, which is designed to provide reliable connectivity throughout the stadium, including the stands, concourses, hospitality areas and surrounding perimeter.

The technology will allow thousands of supporters attending Premier League matches to benefit from improved digital services, while also helping the club manage its stadium operations more efficiently.

A partnership that will help supporters

For fans, one of the key benefits will be better access to the Brentford FC app and club content, alongside interactive activities and competitions during matchdays.

The Bees are also exploring further opportunities to introduce loyalty initiatives and new ways of engaging with supporters, potentially extending the matchday experience beyond the 90 minutes on the pitch.

The network will also support digital ticketing, steward devices and health and safety operations, helping staff monitor stadium entry and manage events more effectively.

The infrastructure also extends beyond the stadium itself, supporting the club's training ground and corporate offices.

“Modern stadiums are becoming increasingly digital environments”

Mark Weeks, HPE's networking sales director for the UK and Ireland, has highlighted how technology is changing the modern football experience. He said:

“Modern stadiums are becoming increasingly digital environments, with technology supporting everything from how fans interact with their clubs to how teams manage a matchday.”

“Our work with Brentford FC shows how a strong foundation can help clubs introduce new services and innovations over time.”

Meanwhile, Brentford commercial director Fran Jones explained the importance of the agreement, saying: “We are always looking at how technology can improve the experience for our fans, and connectivity is an important part of that.

“HPE has given us a reliable foundation across Gtech Community Stadium that supports both our supporters and our teams. It also gives us the flexibility to explore new digital experiences as we continue to evolve the matchday.”

FGG says: A club that always looks to the future

Brentford's rise to the Premier League has been built on a futuristic approach, so it's no surprise they are looking to bring new technology to the Gtech Community Stadium. The message here is clear: make visits to the Gtech Community Stadium more connected, interactive and enjoyable, both on and off the pitch.
