Coventry City are set to pay tribute to their historic former home with the site of Highfield Road to be renamed as part of a new project.
The Sky Blues' 106-year association with the stadium will be remembered through a series of tributes designed to preserve the ground's place in the club's history.

Land on the site of Coventry's former Highfield Road stadium is set to be renamed Highfield Road Park, marking a permanent tribute to the club's historic home, per the BBC.
The Sky Blues played at Highfield Road from 1899 until 2005, when they played their final match at the stadium before the ground was demolished the following year and eventually replaced by housing.
Pete Witherow, of the Sky Blue Archive, said campaigners had spent the past two years working with Coventry City Council to secure the tribute, which will be located in the centre of Signet Square.
The plans follow consultation with local residents and supporters, while the wider project is intended to ensure the history of Highfield Road remains visible despite the stadium itself being long gone.
A commemorative plaque and plinth at the site have already been restored after being vandalised, while organisers are also planning Coventry's first dementia bench for the location.
The bench is expected to be installed next year and will include a plaque and QR code linking visitors to the Coventry Dementia Hub. It will also encourage supporters and residents to reminisce about their memories of the former stadium.
Four vision boards are also planned, featuring photographs of Highfield Road alongside images of the housing development which replaced it.
Witherow said the inspiration came partly from Arsenal's redevelopment of the former Highbury site, adding that he wants Highfield Road Park to become a destination for former Coventry supporters and football fans.
The new park sign has already been produced by LFA Engineering and handed over to the council, which will determine when it can be installed.

Highfield Road was the Sky Blues' home for more than a century, so creating a permanent reminder of the stadium is a fitting way to preserve that history.
The planned park and additional tributes should give generations of supporters somewhere to remember the ground, even though the stadium itself disappeared almost two decades ago.
The project also shows that a former stadium can remain an important part of a club's identity long after it has been demolished.
