Leeds United supporters have been given a first look at the latest improvements taking shape inside Elland Road, with safe standing installation underway in the South Stand.
Footage captured by Shaun Drabble on October 26th shows old seats being removed and new blue seating frames appearing as the club's stadium expansion continues.
South Stand safe standing works get underway at Elland Road
The main development in this latest update is the replacement of seating in the South Stand, where sections of old seats have been removed to make way for the new rail seating structure.
The frames visible in the footage form part of the safe standing installation, marking another step in the club's ongoing efforts to improve the matchday experience for supporters.
Work remains at an early stage, but further sections are expected to take shape as the installation progresses ahead of Leeds' next home fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on November 7th, although it remains to be seen when fans will have access to this area.
Elsewhere, activity around the stadium has been relatively limited, with space constraints near the road restricting wider development work. A hole previously spotted near the site has also been filled, apparently following drainage work.
Damaged fencing remains visible after recent stormy weather, while there were no major deliveries over the weekend.
FGG says: Leeds fans get an interesting first look at South Stand improvements
The safe standing installation is an encouraging update for Leeds supporters, offering a first glimpse of how the South Stand will change as the new seating takes shape.
With Tottenham due at Elland Road on November 7th, attention will turn to how quickly the work progresses and how much – if any – of the new setup is ready for that fixture.
It may be a relatively small step in the wider evolution of Elland Road, but it is another visible sign of the club investing in its matchday experience.
