How to get tickets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup

Following the conclusion of the 2025 Club World Cup, FIFA's attention has immediately turned to the 2026 World Cup.

Although Club World Cup attendances weren't what FIFA were hoping for when they unveiled the tournament, it is highly unlikely that they will face the same problems at the World Cup, given the history and reputation of the tournament.

The 2026 World Cup, which is being hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico, will officially get underway on Thursday, 11 June and end on Sunday, 19 July with the final.

Tickets for all matches are yet to be released, but FIFA have given an indication of when the World Cup ticket sales process will begin. For all the key information, check out our buy guide below.

FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets: Key information

How to buy World Cup 2026 tickets

At present, the only thing that fans can do in relation to the 2026 World Cup is register their interest in tickets. To do this, fans should head to the FIFA ticket portal and sign up for updates from FIFA. In doing this, each fan will receive a FIFA ID, which should then be used when the time comes to purchase tickets for the tournament.

In addition to receiving a FIFA ID, fans who register their interest will then automatically be updated by FIFA on the latest ticketing information via email.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino recently told interested supporters:

“Following the incredible success of the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, excitement is reaching new heights for the FIFA World Cup 26.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the world back to North America, as Canada, Mexico and the United States host what will be the biggest and greatest sporting event ever. We encourage fans everywhere to get ready to secure their place – these will be the most coveted seats in world sport.”

World Cup ticket sales dates

There will be several ticket sales windows for the 2026 World Cup, and FIFA have announced that the first sales window will commence on Wednesday, 10 September.

On this date, all supporters who have registered their interest for tickets through the FIFA ticket portal will be invited to log in to purchase tickets. As supply is expected to meet demand, a long queue is likely, and an element of luck will be needed to be successful.

Based on previous World Cups, we can expect the next ticket release in December after the draw for the World Cup has been made.

Hospitality tickets

Although standard tickets for the 2026 World Cup aren't yet available, fans are able to purchase hospitality tickets for the tournament. The three options that are currently available are as follows:

  • Single matches: Fans can purchase hospitality tickets from $1,350 per person for all group and Round of 32 matches that don't feature any of the three host nations. The hospitality options are Pitchside Lounge, VIP, Trophy Lounge, Champions Club and FIFA Pavilion.
  • Venue series: Fans are being invited to pay for hospitality tickets for every match at a venue of their choice. This will cover between four and nine matches, depending on the venue in question. Prices for this package start at $8,275 per person.
  • Follow my team: Fans can buy a hospitality package for all three group games and a Round of 32 fixture for the team they follow. This is available for fans of all teams, except the USA, Canada and Mexico. Prices start at $6,750 per person, and all tickets are in the FIFA Pavilion.

For more information on what each hospitality package entails, check out the hospitality section on the FIFA website.
