Lionel Messi: How to get Inter Miami tickets to watch star

Inter Miami tickets have grown exponentially in demand since the world-stopping arrival of World Cup winner and all-time great Lionel Messi in Florida.

Football Ground Guide is here to lead you through the process of getting tickets to watch Messi play.

Aged 36, time is ticking to see the Argentine play and with his performances thus far in the USA, it should be well worth it. He's ripping things up.

As for where you might catch an Inter Miami game, at home, the Florida side play 30 miles north of their namesake city itself, in Fort Lauderdale. Their 2020-built stadium is called the DRV PNK Stadium and holds 18,000 people.

There are many more than this hoping to get a glimpse of Messi and with this in mind, and the future growth of the club as a whole, Inter will move elsewhere. A ground called Freedom Park is in the works, which will have a 25,000 capacity and could open as soon as 2025.

How to get Inter Miami tickets and see Lionel Messi play

Inter Miami season tickets

Season tickets for the 2023/24 season are unavailable to purchase now and demand for next year's season passes will be enormous due to the Messi factor.

Prices for Inter Miami season tickets ranged from a reasonable $476 to a much more intimidating $3,094. Whether these prices will increase next season has not yet been announced, but it's likely.

To purchase an Inter Miami season ticket, fans must first place a 2024 Membership Deposit, priced at $200 for a general admission season ticket, with which you'll be positioned in the safe standing area behind the goal, and a gob-smacking $10,000 for the annual suite.

That deposit won't guarantee you a season ticket for the 2024/25 season, but it's the only way of having a chance.

One-off match tickets

Messi's arrival has affected these tickets, too, and more so.

MLS games have long offered good value, with the cheapest tickets starting around the $35 mark for most games. At Inter Miami before this season, fans could buy a ticket anywhere in the ground for between $35 and $48, although the most expensive tickets rose upwards to $600 in Category 2 and $3,000 in Category 3.

The problem is that, like with many events in the USA, MLS tickets can be affected by Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing structure. This will be familiar to Americans but remains unfamiliar to Europeans. In essence, it means that ticket prices increase in line with demand. As a result, Inter Miami tickets are now starting at several hundred dollars a pop. Similar prices can be found on Ticketmaster's reselling platform.

How much does it cost to watch Inter Miami and Lionel Messi?

It's difficult, therefore, to give an accurate prediction of how much a ticket to watch Messi play will cost, but don't expect to find anything for the old $35 price. The cheapest we can find for the next few weeks is $232 in the standing section.

How to get a cheap Inter Miami ticket

Fortunately, tickets for the full MLS season have not gone on sale so there remains a chance to get in there early and benefit from the discount that comes with buying early. Tickets are only going on sale a few weeks before matches, so make sure you keep an eye on the official Inter Miami club channels and website to hear about ticket sale periods.

You'll then have to act quickly and buy off the Inter Miami website and look for a ticket in the general admission safe standing section, where you'll find the cheapest deals.

Our final tip would be to target a mid-week game. Demand is slightly lower for these, and so prices are as a result. You will, of course, have to weigh up whether it'll be cheaper overall with the potential need for accommodation and transport nearby. These mid-week games will generally kick off at 8 pm.

Do I need to be an Inter Miami member to buy a ticket?

No. All fans can buy through Ticketmaster without a club-specific membership.

Where will the new ground for Inter Miami be constructed?

The new home ground for Inter Miami will be constructed at Melreese Golf Course, a venue that is close to Miami International Airport. The proximity to the airport means great convenience for travelling away fans who will only take a few minutes to arrive at the venue.

How much is the cheapest Inter Miami ticket?

Depending on when and where you buy Inter Miami match tickets, the cheapest available tickets can be as low as $54. But because prices increase with the demand for Messi matches, we recommend buying Inter Miami tickets as soon as the season's tickets are announced. Remember that you can also acquire the tickets on reseller platforms, which may cost a little more.

Is it easy to buy Inter Inter Miami tickets?

The arrival of Messi at the South Cost caused a spike in ticket prices and availability of the same became a challenge for most matchgoers. However, you can check the official Inter Miami ticket-selling platform known as Ticketmaster to book your seats.  Alternatively, we recommend ticket reselling platforms such as StubHub or Vivid Seats which tend to have a variety of ticketing options for Messi fans.

Which are the best seating locations at Inter Miami?

Sections 101 to 105 and sections 128 to 132  in the west sideline are considered premium seating locations at Inter Miami's current home ground. In these sections, fans have access to the club and also enjoy great views of the stadium. Fans are also advised to consider booking seats in some sections on the east sideline, especially sections 112 to 121 and 15 to 25. Note that these sections are hard to land given the great view they offer, so the best time to book is as soon as the match tickets for upcoming games are released.

How has Inter Miami fared in their recent outings in the MLS?

The arrival of Lionel Messi in July 2023 seemed to have had a huge impact on Inter Miami's performances. So despite going through a rough patch of winning just two games across all competitions between 23 March 2024 and 21 April 2024,  they sit atop the MLS table. In that duration, they also suffered one MLS defeat during a clash with NY Red Bulls on 23 March 2024.

Who is the current Inter Miami top scorer?

Lionel Messi is the current Inter Miami top scorer with 7 goals scored in 6 games. It means buying Inter Miami tickets will be worth some great moments as the celebrated 36-year-old Argentine can hit the back of the net any moment he features in a game.

Where else can you purchase Inter Miami and Messi tickets for the 2024 season?

Tickets for Inter Miami home and away matches are also sold on the official Inter Miami CF website, SeatGeek, Barry's Tickets and many other platforms. We advise taking precautionary measures when purchasing the match tickets online to avoid getting scammed by fake ticket vendors. Always check the background of Inter Miami ticket vendor platforms before paying for your seat ahead of the next Lionel Messi matches.

How to watch Inter Miami on TV

Apple TV is your fix for Major League Soccer games on TV. You can buy an MLS season pass for $12.99 per month as an Apple TV+ subscriber or $79 per season. Non-Apple TV+ subscribers will have to pay $14.99 per month or $99 per season.

Highlights, however, are available for free on Apple TV.

Who are the other new signings for Inter Miami?

Lionel Messi was not the only star signing for the club. Messi's former Barcelona teammates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba signed alongside him.
