Italy fans join traditional Albanian dance circle in Germany

In what has brought a smile to every single person who has seen it, a group of Italy fans have been pictured getting involved in an Albanian dance circle ahead of the two side's Euro 2024 clash.

Much like the Albania supporters who were seen snapping spaghetti on the same day, this was again another demonstration of how international football can unite fans rather than divide them.

A heart-warming moment

Opposition fans rarely spend much time together on matchday, and when they do, it is even more rare that the interaction can be described as a positive one after the fact. These Italy fans, however, ignored that stereotype and instead, treated us all to a truly fantastic moment at Euro 2024.

In the above video, a group of the European Championships reigning champions' supporters can be seen joining in with an Albanian dance circle in the streets of Germany and enjoying some of the nation's traditional music.

It is still very early in the life of Euro 2024, but so far, both the Albanian and Italian fans have been huge assets to the competition and have already provided some incredible moments.

The power of football

International football of course has its negatives, some of which England fans have already contributed to at Euro 2024, but it is important to remember the undeniable ability it has to unite us all as well.

It is incredibly likely that the Italy and Albania supporters in question have no pre-existing relationship, and given the obvious language barrier, communication may not have been the easiest either. And yet, they sang, danced and revelled in the occasion together, as one, anyway.

If we ever needed proof of the positive impact football can have on society, this video is an excellent case study to use.
