Jarrod Bowen is already a certified club legend at West Ham, with his winning goal in the final of the Europa Conference League in 2023 already etched into the club's history.
Beyond that goal, Bowen has consistently been one of the club's most consistent performers ever since he signed for the club in January 2020, which has often led to calls for him to leave the Hammers for bigger and better things.
The Jarrod Bowen chant was created shortly after the winger started dating Love Island star, Dani Dyer, with the daughter of Danny Dyer featuring in the West Ham chant.

Jarrod Bowen chant background and reaction
The Jarrod Bowen chant has largely been received as intended, in a humorous and non-offensive way by all involved.
Dani Dyer's dad, Danny Dyer, is a huge West Ham fan and even included a modified version of the chant in his Father of the Bride speech when his daughter married the footballer. Speaking about the football chant back in 2023, Dyer said:
“I think there's a bit of romance in it. Think about it, it's a compliment. They are saying Bowen is on fire, which is unreal, and he's also s****ing Dani Dyer. So if you think about it, they're saying it can't get any better, so there's a compliment in there.”
Dani Dyer also once confirmed that she has no issue with the chant. In an interview in 2024, she said:
“Not that long ago, I went to an away game, and I really needed a drink, but I was like, I’d rather have died of dehydration to be honest, that was the better option. I came out and they were all looking at me, and they all sang the song. I was literally in the midst of the crowd. It’s fine, it’s so fine, it really doesn’t bother me.”

FGG says: An iconic chant
This chant was thrust into football culture back during Euro 2016 when Northern Ireland created the ‘Will Grigg's on Fire' chant, and while it has been done to death by various clubs since, this West Ham effort feels more iconic than the rest due to the dynamic between Bowen and his West Ham supporting father-in-law.
