Jorgen Strand Larsen had an excellent debut season at Wolves, scoring 14 Premier League goals as he helped to steer the club away from the relegation zone.

Although things aren't going to plan in his second season at the club, his performances during that first campaign at Molineux earned him his very own Wolves chant.

For all the most important information on the Jorgen Stand Larsen chant, including the lyrics and the tune it is sung to, we have you covered below.

Jorgen Strand Larsen chant, lyrics and tune

The Jorgen Strand Larsen chant is the sung to the tune of the popular football chant “_____ woah woah”. Popular chants to this tune include the Patrick Vieira chant that Arsenal fans created in the 1990s. The lyrics to the Strand Larsen version are as follows:

Strand Larsen woah woah,

Strand Larsen, woah woah,

He's Scandinavian,

He hates the Albion

Jorgen Strand Larsen chant chant background

The Jorgen Strand Larsen chant is a simple but effective chant that summarises the player and Wolves fan culture pretty well.

It references the player's heritage, given that Norway is part of Scandinavia, and it also mentions that the player hates West Bromwich Albion. While Strand Larsen won't personally hate West Brom (he has never even played against them in his career), they are Wolves' biggest rivals.

Although the player has since had a fallout with Wolves fans due to his desire to leave the club in the same summer that he signed for them permanently, the Stand Larsen chant will undoubtedly resurface again if he starts banging the goals in again on a regular basis.

FGG says: A tune that rarely fails

Over the years, this tune has been used for some of the best chants in English football. On top of the aforementioned Vieira song, there was also one sung by Man Utd fans for Nemanja Vidic and another sung by Man City fans for Roberto Mancini.
