Mamadou Sangare joined Brentford this summer as the club's record signing, arriving in west London after impressing during his time with Lens in Ligue 1.
The 24-year-old could hardly have made a better start to life in England, starring as the Bees swept aside Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 on the opening weekend of the 2026/27 Premier League season.
Sangare's performance immediately endeared him to the Brentford faithful, who have quickly taken to their new midfielder after his eye-catching introduction to English football.
Brentford's £40 million signing will now hope to build on that impressive debut, with the Bees aiming to push for European football after narrowly missing out in each of the last two seasons.

The song was created for Sangare after he made an instant impression on his Brentford debut, starring in the Bees' 3-0 victory over Tottenham on the opening weekend of the new campaign.
The 24-year-old midfielder arrived in west London as Brentford's club-record signing after impressing in Belgium, Austria and France, where he was named in Ligue 1's team of the season and won the Prix Marc-Vivien Foe as the division's top African player.
However, he needed just one appearance in English football to get the supporters singing his name.
The Mali midfielder played a key role in Brentford's opening goal, linking up with Dango Ouattara before Keane Lewis-Potter finished the move, while his passing, dribbling and ability to win the ball also stood out throughout the match.
That made him an instant fan favourite and gave the Brentford faithful the perfect opportunity to put a new song together.
