Origin of the Morgan Rogers chant
The Morgan Rogers chant originated among Aston Villa fans in late 2024, reportedly stemming from discussions on a Reddit forum.
Earlier in March 2024, Aston Villa's official social media page posted a similar chant sung by fans in support of their Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans.
Tielemans had just scored a brace against England, but since he was a Villa player, some fans at the match chanted the song in his praise. The Morgan Rogers version was most likely adapted from that.

FGG says
Simple and adaptable, the Morgan Rogers chant is perfect for mass participation. It emerged at the right time to inspire a player who would soon become a key part of Unai Emery's project at Villa Park.
While the song is basic at best, it shows that when supporters believe in a player, they will always create a chant that becomes a lasting inspiration.
