The 2024 Paris Olympics may have concluded, but attention has already begun to shift towards the next event, which will see Los Angeles host the 2028 Olympics.
With that in mind, this article will run you through the 2028 Olympics football venues so you can begin your preparations for what should be an entertaining instalment of the Games.

Given that we are still just under four years away from the Games, there is a slight chance that the exact dates could change, although that is extremely unlikely. At the time of writing, the 2028 Olympics is scheduled to start on 14 July and finish on 30 July.
What are the 2028 Olympics football venues?
Surprisingly, the vast majority of sports that will be played during the LA Olympics have already confirmed their respective venues; however, football is not yet one of them.
While this is frustrating, it will likely be resolved in the very near future, although, reports suggest that the chosen venue will be the Rose Bowl, located in Pasadena, California.

However, it is believed that the Rose Bowl will only host the semi-finals and final matches, with the ground's General Manager, Jens Weiden, stating: “It’s been out there for a while in the inner circle of our venues we’re going to be the host for the semifinals for both men’s and women’s soccer, which is great for us.”
While the fact that the Rose Bowl was not selected as a hosting venue for the 2026 World Cup, which is taking place across the United States, Mexico and Canada, will understandably cast doubt into the minds of some supporters regarding its suitability, rest assured that it is a fantastic facility.
It has been used as a host for football matches on multiple occasions throughout its history, and on 4 July, 2023, successfully accommodated a crowd of over 80,000 fans for a clash between LA Galaxy and Los Angeles FC.
Other venues
At this stage, it remains unclear whether the Rose Bowl will host football at the 2028 Olympics alone or whether other venues will be selected for co-hosting responsibilities.
There is no shortage of potential candidates, with a wide variety of stadiums in the Los Angeles region that could host such a prestigious event, perhaps none more so than Dignity Health Sports Park, the home of the LA Galaxy.
However, as mentioned, very little has been confirmed as of yet, and it is entirely possible that the Rose Bowl will solo host the sport. Given its reputation and enormous size, it is certainly more than capable of doing so.
