Valencia are entering the decisive phase of the sale of their current Mestalla Stadium.

The deal could help fund the club's move to Nou Mestalla, with a shortlist of potential buyers now emerging ahead of an expected October conclusion.

Valencia have received non-binding offers worth around £130m for the plot currently occupied by Mestalla, with the club having selected a shortlist of potential buyers from several dozen interested parties.

The sale process began in 2025, when Valencia appointed CBRE to oversee the operation. Around 30 companies reportedly expressed interest, with candidates subsequently required to conduct detailed due diligence.

Among the names mentioned as finalists are Neinor, TM Grupo Inmobiliario, ABU and a consortium involving Pryconsa and Atitlan. The sale is expected to close in October, although Valencia have yet to confirm a final agreement.

The 90,000-square-metre site could accommodate more than 500 homes, alongside commercial space, offices and a large public garden. Plans also include several high-rise buildings, with the tallest potentially reaching 29 floors.

A valuation prepared at the end of 2025 put the Mestalla plots at £125m, providing a reference point for the ongoing negotiations.

The sale is closely linked to the financing of Nou Mestalla, with proceeds expected to help repay debt associated with the construction of the new stadium.

Valencia refinanced more than £275m of debt in 2025, with Goldman Sachs involved in the financing arrangements.

The club has also been given until October 27th 2026, to submit the urbanisation project for the Mestalla site, including plans for infrastructure, green spaces and the demolition of the existing stadium.

FGG says: Mestalla sale could bring Valencia closer to Nou Mestalla move

Valencia's progress towards selling Mestalla represents a significant step in the club's long-running transition to their new home.

The reported offers could provide substantial funding towards the Nou Mestalla project, while the redevelopment of the existing site would transform a prominent area of the city.

However, the sale is not yet finalised, and the club still faces the challenge of completing the transaction and managing the financial commitments surrounding the new stadium.

The coming weeks could prove decisive for Valencia.
