A viral clip captured Swedish supporters chanting “Gyokeres, Viktor Gyokeres” after Sweden's win over Poland in Solna on Monday.
Gyokeres appeared in front of the crowd alongside a teammate with a microphone before smiling and applauding as the supporters continued their chant.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a dream first season at Arsenal after joining from Sporting CP in 2025, scoring 14 Premier League goals and 21 in all competitions as the Gunners won the title, making him the first Swedish Premier League winner in 19 years.
This season has been more difficult, with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta favouring Kai Havertz in the league.
As of late September, Gyokeres had played just 29 Premier League minutes without scoring, although international football has provided a boost.
He netted the winner against Romania before scoring in Sweden's 3-0 victory over Poland, helping his country move top of their group.
However, Havertz's hamstring injury during Germany's international break could now hand Gyokeres a chance to feature more regularly when club football resumes.

Gyokeres could hardly have asked for a stronger response from his country after another goal.
The reception in Solna offered a reminder of his importance to Sweden while his club opportunities have been limited.
His next challenge will be turning that international confidence into goals back on the domestic stage in a few weeks' time.
