Leandro Trossard has been in and out of the Arsenal starting XI for the duration of his time at the Emirates Stadium, and while he has split opinion among Arsenal supporters at different times, nobody can deny that he is, at very least, a useful member of the squad.
Trossard has popped up with some important goals for the club since signing for them in January 2023, and although his time in North London may be coming towards an end, he has done enough to be remembered fondly by the club's fans.
The Belgian also has his own Arsenal chant, which is most commonly sung after he pops up with a goal for the Gunners. Find out more about the chant, including the lyrics and tune, below.
Leandro Trossard chant, lyrics and tune
The Leandro Trossard chant is sung to the popular ‘____ again ole ole' football chant. It is the same tune used by Tottenham fans for the Brennan Johnson chant and Nottingham Forest fans for the Chris Wood chant. The lyrics are simply:
Trossard again, Ole Ole
Trossard again, Ole Ole
Trossard again,
Trossard again,
Trossard again, Ole Ole
Leandro Trossard chant background
The Leandro Trossard chant was created relatively early on during his Arsenal career due to the fact that he made a habit of scoring important goals for the club on a regular basis.
During his time at Arsenal, he has scored goals against Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea, which is some going considering he has only played two full seasons for the club.
Speaking about the support he has received from Arsenal fans since joining the club, Trossard once said in an interview:
“From the very first moment I joined the club, I always felt the love as well and on the pitch. That's why I want to give so much back as well in terms of goals, assists. I'm really, really happy here.”
FGG says: A fitting chant for a ‘moments' player
Leandro Trossard has scored some big goals for Arsenal over the years, and despite some of the criticism that comes his way, the Gunners would be worse off without him. The chant is fitting as he does almost feel inevitable in the biggest matches.
