The latest construction update from September 2026 shows work advancing across several areas of the stadium, with the final piece of the compression ring now on the ground and preparations underway for its installation.

Although the component remained stationary during the filming week, a specialised rigging setup has been prepared as the project approaches another major structural milestone.

Elsewhere, the lower section of the Tribuna stands has received its first decorative slats, which are designed to house lighting systems capable of producing dynamic colour displays on matchdays.

Interior work is also gathering pace, with plasterboard being installed in internal areas and the first seats appearing in the third tier.

Wooden test structures have also been positioned nearby, potentially to trial installation methods that protect completed sections.

Work around the Les Corts area, close to the future fan services office, continues with ground levelling, concrete pouring and the construction of a new double staircase.

Despite the visible progress, uncertainty remains over the exact timetable for opening the third tier and returning all matchday operations to the stadium.

The latest projections continue to point towards 2028 as the most realistic completion date.
