Craven Cottage's history and Riverside redevelopment
The original cottage on the site was built in 1780 by William Craven, the 6th Baron Craven, before being destroyed by fire in 1888.
Fulham eventually established Craven Cottage as their permanent home in 1896, having previously played at eight other grounds.
The Riverside Stand redevelopment, announced in 2019 and fully opened in 2025, took more than six years to complete.
The project introduced restaurants, premium lounges, a rooftop terrace, hotel accommodation and spa facilities, transforming the riverside side of the ground into a luxury hospitality destination.
The new stand was designed to increase the stadium's capacity towards 30,000, with the declared capacity at 29,600.
