From its £390 million construction cost to a capacity of 60,704, the stadium is one of the biggest and most recognisable football grounds in England.

Arsenal's Emirates Stadium records

The Emirates hosted its first Premier League match on 19 August 2006, when Arsenal drew 1-1 with Aston Villa.

Arsenal's biggest European victory at the stadium came in October 2007, when the Gunners beat Slavia Prague 7-0.

Robin van Persie remains one of the stadium's most prolific scorers, having found the net 64 times at the Emirates.

The stadium also became increasingly decorated with Arsenal history after the Arsenalisation project began in 2009. The transformation featured murals celebrating 32 Arsenal legends.

The Emirates' wider commercial significance is reflected by the numbers surrounding its naming rights partnership with Emirates, which began in 2006 and has been extended through to 2033.

The Emirates Cup was subsequently launched in 2007.
