Thousands of England supporters have descended on Texas ahead of the Three Lions' opening 2026 World Cup clash against Croatia, with many embracing local culture before the action gets underway.
From cowboy hats and boots to road trips across the southern United States, supporters have been making the most of the build-up to England's first match of the tournament.
England supporters embracing Texas experience before Croatia showdown
Fans gathered in Fort Worth and the wider Dallas area on Monday, two days before England's Group L opener at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
Many supporters were spotted sporting cowboy hats and boots, with some joking they would be wearing them for the remainder of the tournament.
Others spoke to the Evening Standard about combining football with wider American road trips, taking in destinations such as Nashville, New Orleans, Philadelphia and Boston alongside England matches.
However, ticket prices remained a major talking point.
Several fans admitted they had scaled back their World Cup plans due to costs, with some deciding against attending later rounds despite regularly following England at major tournaments.
One supporter revealed that a final ticket would have cost around £5,500, while another highlighted quarter-final tickets being sold for more than £2,000.
England are expected to be backed by a substantial following inside Dallas Stadium, with more than 3,300 tickets distributed through the England Supporters Travel Club (ESTC) and thousands more supporters securing seats through other routes.
