England Supporters Travel Club: Cost, how to join and caps system explained

Becoming a member of the England Supporters Travel Club (ESTA) is the best way to access away tickets to watch the Three Lions. The membership also gives supporters discounts on home tickets.

Here is everything you need to know about the ESTA, as well as ticket details for upcoming away matches in the UEFA Nations League.

How do you become a member of the England Supporters Travel Club?

On 12 June, it was announced that the 2024-2026 ESTA membership cycle was open for people to join. Members renewing from the previous cycle could rejoin at a discounted price and had until Thursday, 12 September, to do so.

For new members, it will cost adults £85 and juniors £35. During this two-year period, ESTA representatives will have priority access to 20 matches.

The Wembley Support Portal provided the following advice for supporters looking to join the ESTA: “If you're already a member of My England Football, all you need to do is click on the ‘Join now to follow England away' button on the ESTC Homepage. You will need to fill in your personal details, provide a copy of your passport's bio-data, a photo of yourself (for your membership card), add any accompanying junior members, and complete the payment.”

Benefits of England Supporters Travel Club membership

For every qualifying or friendly match fans attend as ESTA members, they are given two ‘Caps’. The more caps supporters pick up, the greater their chance of securing tickets for games in the upcoming major tournaments in 2026 and 2028.

The number of caps is updated after every membership cycle, with a ‘Bonus Cap’ given to supporters who are renewing for the third time in a row.

When England play at home, ESTA members also get a £5 discount on their ticket for a seat outside of the Home End.

Speaking about the importance of membership schemes like the ESTA, Gareth Southgate said: “Travel club members are an important part of the journey of this England team and we value that loyalty at all times. We’ve seen first-hand how that unwavering support has gone hand in hand with the progress of this young group of players and we look forward to sharing more memories in the coming years”

Upcoming away games that members can get tickets for

England will begin their Nations League B campaign against the Republic of Ireland on Saturday, 7 September. They have three away matches in their group stage, and the ESTA has provided ticketing details for all of them.

Nearly 3,000 England fans will be in the away end at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday. Registration for tickets opened on Monday, 29 July, and closed on Monday, 5 August. Members could register for a seat for themselves and three others. The result of the ballot was announced on Wednesday, 7 August. A second sale window with additional tickets for ESTA members closed a week later.

On 27 August, the ESTA announced that registration for England’s away games against Finland and Greece was open. The window closed for the Finland match on Monday, 2 September, and will close for the trip to Greece on 1 October. ESTA members can register for a ticket here.
