Everton Football Club has secured long-term financing for Bramley-Moore Dock on the waterfront in Liverpool.
The new £350 million funding comes from a group of reputable institutional lenders, refinancing the loans that enabled the construction of Bramley-Moore Dock. This financing was heavily oversubscribed, resulting in advantageous competitive terms for Everton. It forms part of The Friedkin Group’s dedication to fortify and stabilize the Club, laying the groundwork for future success on the field.

Bramley-Moore Dock future secured
This loan financing has secured Bramley-Moore Dock's long-term health. When the Friedkin Group took ownership of the club, the financing of the stadium was a key area fans wanted clarification on. With this latest news, it means the stadium's payments are secured thanks to funding.
The club also confirmed news that the stadium will act as a versatile venue and cultural asset for the city of Liverpool. The venue has already been chosen as a host site for the UEFA European Championship in 2028, accompanied by a pipeline of promising non-football events that will generate additional revenue. While these non-football events are not confirmed, it has been rumoured that Bramley-Moore Dock is set to host the Rugby Ashes series in 2025 alongside Wembley Stadium. The stadium is estimated to generate an extra £1.3 billion in value for the local economy through these events and football matches.
Everton officially took ownership of the stadium in December 2024. A series of test events were then announced, with confirmation of the second event announced. A third event will come shortly after, however, the licence from the first two events must be secured before that can happen. Everton also recently secured a long-term facilities contract, which will help to create the 600+ jobs required to keep the stadium running on matchdays.

With their Premier League survival secured for the 2025/26 season, attention can turn to the future at Bramley-Moore Dock and what it might hold for this next chapter in the club's history.
