Fans have been given an early glimpse of Inter Miami’s new home, and it’s already turning heads – even if the venue isn’t quite finished just yet.
Nu Stadium footage emerges ahead of Inter Miami vs Austin opening fixture
New footage from inside Nu Stadium has emerged ahead of Inter Miami CF’s upcoming clash with Austin FC this weekend.
The images show a stadium that is close to completion and already looking impressive, with large sections of the ground in place as the club prepares to open its doors.
However, there are still some unfinished elements, most notably in the lower east stand, where seating has yet to be fully installed.
In a creative temporary fix, folding chairs have reportedly been arranged to spell out “Miami” in the incomplete section, ensuring the stadium remains presentable for its opening fixture.
The new venue is set to become the permanent home for Inter Miami, moving away from Chase Stadium, with global attention on the club continuing to grow following the arrival of Lionel Messi.
FGG says: Not perfect yet — but the spectacle is already there
This feels very on-brand for Inter Miami.
The stadium might not be 100% finished, but it already looks the part, and crucially, it’s ready for Sunday's opening fixture.
Little details like missing seats wouldn’t normally be ideal, but the club’s workaround shows how much emphasis is being placed on presentation ahead of opening night.
With Messi involved, the eyes of the football world will be on this stadium from day one.
And while there’s still work to do, first impressions suggest this could quickly become one of the most eye-catching venues in MLS.
