Fulham vs. Newcastle: Craven Cottage away day cost for Magpies fans

Newcastle United travel to the Craven Cottage on November 7, 2026, to take on Fulham in their latest Premier League clash.

As with any away game in the Premier League, it will be vital for travelling fans to factor in the price of tickets, transport, food and drink and other matchday expenses.

For a Newcastle-based supporter travelling down to London, we estimate the cost at around £180 by train per person, or £90 by coach, based on the prices currently available to Football Ground Guide.

Coach journeys from Newcastle take roughly 6 hours 20 minutes to 8 hours, so allow for an early departure on Saturday or an overnight coach on Friday ahead of the 3pm kick-off. Add the cost of a hotel if you plan to stay overnight. Figures are planning estimates, not confirmed quotes.

Ticket

Newcastle were provided an allocation of 2,696 tickets for their visit to Craven Cottage, with adult tickets priced at £30, though 300 tickets had £2 concessions due to a restricted view. Tickets for seniors (65+) cost £29, the same price for a young adult (18-21), while junior ticket prices (17 and under) were set at £25.

While that allocation has been sold out, there could be opportunities for tickets to be purchased on resale platforms, though prices vary and are likely to be above retail value.

Travel

Fans travelling from Newcastle to London will likely have to make the choice between coach and train.

Getting to Craven Cottage by train will be significantly quicker, but the price of a return journey from Newcastle Central to King's Cross will set commuters back £180, though note that prices can vary, with some Lumo services less expensive than LNER services.

For those willing to brave travelling by coach, a return journey could set you back roughly £90 depending on weekend demand and service, with National Express a popular option.

It will be important to be aware that a coach journey could take more than seven hours, while a train journey could take around three hours.

Once in London, be prepared for extra costs on public transport, so setting aside at least £9 would be advisable.

Food/drink

Prices in London are largely more expensive than elsewhere in the country, so an allocation of at least £45 for food and drink would be advisable, but each individual will have different needs and requirements for refreshments.

Other expenses

Matchday programmes may serve as a great piece of memorabilia, and that will set fans back £4, while an extra £10 should be set aside for any extra purchases.

Fulham vs. Newcastle: Estimated away day cost

While prices can vary, travelling Newcastle fans could expect to spend in the region of £278, but that figure could drop to £188 if supporters travel by coach instead of train.
