Wrexham AFC may be taking their pre-season preparations across the Atlantic, but work continues to move forward back at the Racecourse Ground.

Fresh aerial footage has revealed the latest progress on the club's new Kop Stand ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Kop Stand redevelopment latest with 2026/27 season on the horizon

The latest drone update from the Racecourse Ground shows steady progress on Wrexham's new Kop Stand, despite construction temporarily pausing due to a Wales Women's Under-19 international at the stadium.

The footage highlights further advances on the rear sections of the stand, with some areas now receiving concrete while others have been prepared with extensive rebar ahead of the next pours.

One of the biggest developments remains the assembly of the giant roof truss, which is currently being pieced together on the ground before its eventual installation.

While no date has yet been confirmed for the lift, it is expected to be one of the most significant milestones of the redevelopment.

The update also underlines the challenges of working around an operational stadium, with construction required to stop on matchdays before evening kick-offs.

The pace of progress over recent weeks has been evident, particularly with the rapid expansion of the steel framework as the new stand continues to rise.

Meanwhile, Wrexham's first team has travelled to the United States for its latest pre-season tour, where fixtures against Leeds United, Liverpool and Sunderland await as preparations continue for another Championship campaign.

FGG says: Kop Stand progress continues

Although this wasn't the most detailed construction update, it's clear the redevelopment is still continuing despite the focus shifting to the US.

The roof truss will be the next major landmark supporters will be eagerly waiting to see.

With the new season approaching and Wrexham's profile continuing to grow on and off the pitch, the Kop Stand redevelopment remains another important part of the club's remarkable progress.
