Fresh footage from the Racecourse Ground has provided another look at how work on the new Kop Stand is progressing.
And Wrexham supporters have been left amazed by what they are seeing.
Kop Stand redevelopment update as work continues over the weekend
The latest construction footage shows work continuing throughout the weekend at the Racecourse Ground ahead of Wrexham’s huge Championship clash with Stoke City.
Crews were busy carrying out more groundwork on the new Kop Stand, with rebar installation, grading work and further progress around the first slipform tower, known as “Wrex”.
The video also shows more old signage being removed as the site continues to be prepared for the next stage of the redevelopment, which is set to cost in the region of £52 million.
Although much of the work is currently focused on foundations and preparation, it is all part of building towards the new 7,500-capacity stand that will eventually transform the stadium.
Wrexham owners, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, have made the redevelopment one of the club’s major priorities as they continue preparing the Racecourse Ground for the future.
Fans once again reacted enthusiastically to the latest footage.
One supporter wrote: “The last few minutes were mesmerising, the sunset, stunning. I saw the sun setting whilst Wrexham has risen along with the city.”
Another added: “What an amazing job, keep it up,” while a third fan labelled it “fascinating.”
FGG says: It may not look like much but real progress being made on the Kop Stand
It is easy to get excited when steel starts going up, but these early stages are just as important.
Everything happening now is laying the foundations for the new Kop and ensuring the project stays on track for its planned opening in 2027.
The footage also shows just how much interest there is in this redevelopment.
Fans are not only following Wrexham’s promotion push, but they are also following every stage of the Racecourse Ground transformation.
With the sunset over the stadium and the groundwork steadily progressing, it is easy to see why supporters are finding these updates so mesmerising.
