Wrexham's new Kop Stand continues to take shape, with latest footage revealing further progress on the roof, glazing and structural work at the Racecourse Ground.
Supporters have praised the latest developments, with one even describing the construction progress as “amazing”.
Kop Stand progress continues amid ongoing roof construction works
Footage filmed by CC Overview on October 14th shows a significant section of the Kop roof now installed, while deliveries of the remaining components continue. Several large steel beams are also being prepared for installation as work advances on the stand.
The glazing is nearing completion, marking another important milestone in the structure's exterior, while workers continue ground-level construction involving rebar and wooden shuttering.
Painting crews are also applying a uniform finish to the steelwork ahead of the installation of the final cladding frames.
Terracing work remains ongoing, although the need to keep areas accessible for heavy equipment and construction vehicles is affecting the pace of the final seating installation.
The compact site also requires careful coordination, with delivery lorries using escort vehicles to navigate the restricted space.
Despite the remaining work, the latest footage has attracted positive reactions from supporters.
The update also highlighted the condition of the Racecourse Ground pitch, which was described as being in ‘absolutely perfect' condition.
FGG says: Wrexham's Kop Stand looking more real with every update
The latest footage shows how far the project has progressed, with the roof and glazing helping the new Kop look more like an actual stand rather than a construction site.
There is still plenty to complete, particularly around the terracing, but the scale of the structure is becoming more apparent with each update.
Its height and prominence will continue to give the Racecourse Ground a dramatically different appearance once finished.
