For three teams in particular, those being Luton Town, Plymouth Argyle, and Cardiff City, 2024/25 was a Championship campaign to forget. All three sides suffered relegation from the division and will therefore be playing their football in League One for the duration of 2025/26.
It was an understandable, frustrating season for each of their fanbases.
However, with that being said, one of the few positives that relegation brings is the opportunity to visit new stadiums, some of which will likely be first-time experiences for many supporters.
So, what can Luton, Plymouth, and Cardiff fans expect from League One stadiums in 2025/26? Let's take a look.

What is the biggest League One Stadium?
After Cardiff's relegation into the division, the Bluebirds actually now boast the largest League One stadium with a capacity of just over 33,000.
However, of the teams that were already in the division, it is Bolton Wanderers' Toughsheet Community Stadium that comes out on top after Birmingham City secured promotion back to the Championship. The home of Bolton has a capacity of 28,723 and is located just outside of Manchester.
What is the smallest League One stadium?
The smallest League One stadium at the time of writing is the home of Stevenage, known as the Lamex Stadium. It has a capacity of 6,722, some 200 fewer than the next smallest.
Its modest size is actually a positive for the home side, though, and the excellent atmosphere that is created at the ground often helps the club punch far above their weight in the division.
For Luton, Plymouth, and Cardiff, who have perhaps become accustomed to much larger venues, that could certainly be an interesting experience.
What is the most unusual League One Stadium?
In many ways, Luton Town's Kenilworth Road will be the most unusual 2025/26 League One stadium, given its rather unique entrances that utilise stairways intertwined between houses.
However, another candidate will also be the Eco-Power Stadium, home to the newly-promoted Doncaster Rovers. At the time of writing, it is the only ground in the country to be located directly next to a lake, and so it boasts some fantastic, and altogether unique, views that serve as a backdrop for the football.

Luton Town
For the Hatters, the furthest away League One stadium in 2025/26 will be their trip to Blackpool's Bloomfield Road, which is 207 miles away from Luton. So, for the away-day travellers, you may want to set your alarm extra early for that match.
Plymouth Argyle
As you may have guessed, given Plymouth Argyle's location on England's South coast, the club's longest trip in 2025/26 will also be to Bloomfield Road. In fact, this is likely to be one of the biggest distances between two League One teams in the upcoming season, with over 320 miles separating the pair.
Cardiff City
For Cardiff City, the longest trip for an away day will be to either Bloomfield Road or Huddersfield Town's John Smith's Stadium, which is further East. For both venues, Cardiff fans will be travelling over 220 miles.
