Lionel Messi will leave international football having scored at some of the most famous stadiums around the world, but a select group of venues stand above the rest in his Argentina career.
From Buenos Aires to Qatar and even Spain, these are the stadiums where Messi has found the net most often while wearing the famous blue and white shirt.
FootballGroundGuide takes a look at Messi's ‘favourite' stadiums, ranked by the number of Argentina goals he has scored at each venue.
Lionel Messi's favourite stadiums for Argentina
When it comes to Messi's greatest Argentina scoring grounds, there is one stadium that stands comfortably above the rest: Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires.
The home of River Plate has become Messi's most productive international venue, with the Argentina captain scoring 20 goals there, including his last against Benin.
That is more than three times his tally at the second-placed La Bombonera and represents nearly one in every six of his goals for his country.
It feels fitting that the Monumental sits at the top of the list.
Messi's Argentina career has been defined by some of the biggest nights in the country's capital, and the River Plate stadium has regularly provided the backdrop for his goals, celebrations and memorable performances.

La Bombonera, the iconic home of Boca Juniors, ranks second with six goals. Despite being associated so strongly with one of Argentina's biggest rivals, it has also been a productive venue for Messi during his international career.
Outside Argentina, there are two stadiums that stand out.
Estadio El Sadar in Pamplona is third with five goals, although its total comes from one extraordinary occasion: Messi scored all five of Argentina's goals in a 5-0 victory over Estonia in June 2022.
Lusail Stadium also sits on five goals and carries an even greater significance. All five were scored during Argentina's triumphant 2022 World Cup campaign, including his goals against Saudi Arabia, the Netherlands and Croatia. Lusail ultimately became one of the defining stadiums of Messi's international career as Argentina lifted the World Cup there.
The United States also features prominently, with MetLife Stadium and AT&T Stadium both appearing in the top 10, while Hard Rock Stadium has hosted three Argentina goals.
