Liverpool kicked off the Andoni Iraola era with a 4-2 win over Premier League rivals Sunderland at GEODIS Park on Saturday night, and attention is now turning to their pre-season friendly against Wrexham at New York's Yankee Stadium.
The Reds beat Sunderland without a number of first-team stars in the squad, but some high-profile names will return for Wednesday's showdown with the Welsh side, including the likes of Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Ryan Gravenberch.
However, Cody Gakpo, Alisson Becker and captain Virgil van Dijk will not be joining the Merseysiders' contingent in the United States, while Joe Gomez picked up an injury against the Black Cats, and fellow centre-back Jeremy Jacquet is being held in reserve as a precaution.
Liverpool are one of the most popular clubs in world football, and tens of thousands of fans are expected to attend the game in the big apple, not to mention the supporters that will be showing their pride around the city without a ticket to the match.

Another well-known spot for Reds fans in town is the 11th Street Bar in East Village, which is home to the Official Liverpool Supporters Club New York (OLSCNY).
There are no reservations necessary for fans to watch the match here, but keep in mind that the bar has a capacity of 125 people, allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Shillelagh Tavern – 4722 30th Ave, Astoria, NY 11103-1266
Looking for somewhere to watch the game in Queens? The Shillelagh Tavern is an Irish Pub that is a popular place for fans to watch live sports and music.
The pub is also known specifically as a Liverpool bar, so expect to find plenty of fans gathering here to drum up an atmosphere on matchday.
Mickey Spillane’s – 431 White Plains Rd, Eastchester, NY 10709-2803
Mickey Spillane's has with plenty to offer football fans given its food menu and large bar, and is even owned by a member of the Official Liverpool Supporters Club of New York.
This spot is a great option for supporters hoping to watch the match in Eastchester, and is set to be buzzing on Wednesday evening.
Prost Beer & Garten – 652 Franklin Ave, Garden City, NY 11530-5729
Liverpool fans searching for somewhere to watch the Wrexham game in Long Island should check out Prost, which shows all Liverpool matches and covers the Bundesliga.
Prost has more than 30 beers on tap – including both German and local craft brews – and offers a wide variety of tasty food, ranging from traditional Bavarian pretzels and sausages to schnitzel and spaetzle.

Iraola got a first look at his Liverpool squad in action on Saturday, and would have been impressed by the performance of youngsters Lewis Koumas and Kieran Morrison in particular.
The only negative of the night was the injury that Joe Gomez suffered early into the contest, and it is likely that teenage duo Ifeanyi Ndukwe and Mor Talla Ndiaye will start at the heart of the Reds' defence.
In midfield, Ryan Gravenberch linked up with the squad on Sunday, but it remains to be seen what part he plays this week as he adjusts to Iraola's demands.
Likewise, Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak will be available to the manager, and both could feature against Wrexham in New York.
However, Alexis Mac Allister of Argentina and Victor Munoz of Spain are still away from the group after their nations reached the World Cup 2026 final, while Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker and Cody Gakpo are training separately on Merseyside.
