Manchester United's pre-season tour starts next week when they travel to Finland to take on Wrexham, followed by making their way over to Norway to face Rosenborg at the Lerkendal Stadion on Friday, 24 July.

The majority of people in attendance are likely to be locals, with the Red Devils extremely popular in this part of the world, but there will also be Man United fans making the journey to the Lerkendal Stadion for the match.

If you are planning on going to the match, our guide below runs through everything you need to know to ensure your trip to Trondheim is a good one.

How many Man Utd fans are going to Trondheim?

There is no way of being able to give an exact figure on the number of Manchester United fans that will attend the match against Rosenborg, especially with both local and travelling supporters set to attend the fixture.

Fans will also be able to mix with each other as it is a friendly match and are able to buy tickets anywhere they like that is still available in the stadium.

However, with a 21,423 capacity, a large proportion of the stadium is anticipated to be filled by fans wanting to see Manchester United in action.

Where will Man Utd fans sit at the Lerkendal Stadion?

As already mentioned above, Manchester United fans are able to buy tickets and sit wherever they like at the Lerkendal Stadion for the pre-season friendly meeting with Rosenborg.

However, seats on the pitch level have already largely sold out, with limited availability remaining, while there are a number of tickets still available to purchase behind the goals.

How to get to the Lerkendal Stadion: Guide for Man Utd fans in Trondheim

There are several viable methods of getting to the Lerkendal Stadion, with the best and easiest arguably being to either walk or get the train.

The venue is located around 2km away from the city centre, which equates to around a 25-minute walk, and the route is far from taxing, taking you south on Prinsens Gate and Elgester Gate until you can see the stadium.

Alternatively, for fans travelling from outside of the city, your best bet is to get a train to the Lerkendal Station, which is located directly next to the stadium.
