Aston Villa's £110m stadium redevelopment has reached an important milestone, with the latest footage showing the new North Stand continuing to change at pace.
After months of demolition and excavation, the project is entering its most visually significant construction phase.
How is the North Stand progressing at Villa Park?
Footage filmed on November 2nd captures a major shift in activity across the redevelopment site at Villa Park, with much of the preliminary groundwork now completed.
The deep demolition, excavation and sub-surface preparation that have dominated the opening months of the project are largely finished, allowing attention to turn towards the construction of the new stand itself.
Steel and concrete frameworks are now visibly emerging, providing supporters with a clearer indication of the scale of the expanded North Stand.
Large cranes and concrete mixer trucks remain active across the site as contractors continue assembling the structure and progressing with the next stages of construction.
The development represents a significant step towards Villa Park's planned capacity increase to more than 50,000, with the new North Stand expected to provide over 5,500 additional seats.
The stand is also set to include new home and away dressing rooms and a players' tunnel, forming part of the wider transformation of the stadium.
Villa have closed the North Stand for the 2026-27 season to accommodate the work, with the redevelopment also intended to strengthen the club's ability to host major international fixtures.
FGG says: Villa Park beginning to show the scale of its transformation
This is arguably the most exciting stage so far for Villa supporters, with the new structure now becoming much clearer.
There is still plenty of work to complete, but the emerging steel and concrete framework is giving fans a much better idea of what their expanded North Stand will eventually look like.
The transformation is now becoming substantial, with Villa Park's next chapter finally starting to take shape.
