Wrexham’s Racecourse redevelopment takes another step forward as huge Kop Stand changes emerge

Wrexham's ongoing Racecourse Ground redevelopment continues to take shape, with fresh footage revealing further changes to the new Kop Stand.

Work is also taking place on the pitch as the project moves into another important stage of construction.

Progress continues on the new Kop Stand at the Racecourse

Footage filmed on September 22nd shows continued structural progress on the new Kop Stand, with several elements of the design becoming increasingly visible.

Galvanised steel shuttering is now being installed on the first floor, while work is also progressing on the framework for glazing on the fourth floor.

The development is beginning to give the new stand a clearer identity as its facade takes shape, with the latest work adding further definition to the structure.

There are also changes taking place on the pitch itself.

New holes have appeared behind the existing goal positions, with the footage suggesting the goalposts could eventually be moved further back as part of an effort to lengthen the playing surface.

The latest update follows previous milestones at the Kop, including the installation of sections of the roof structure and continued work on the concourse and seating areas.

The latest changes may not be the most dramatic seen during the redevelopment, but the growing detail around the first and fourth floors shows that the Kop is moving beyond its basic structural phase.

Seeing glazing frameworks and facade elements emerge should make it increasingly easy for supporters to picture what the finished stand will look like, while the pitch adjustments suggest the wider stadium operation is also being considered.

There is still plenty of work ahead, but Wrexham fans are getting closer to seeing the Kop become one of the defining features of the redeveloped Racecourse Ground.
