Real Madrid vs Sevilla tops attendance charts for October 18

Real Madrid’s 4-1 win over Sevilla drew the biggest crowd of the day, with 73,907 supporters inside the Santiago Bernabeu.

It was an extremely close call at the top, though. AC Milan’s 3-2 win over Atalanta attracted 73,869 to San Siro, a gap of just 38 fans.

Leeds United vs Manchester United came third with 36,983 at Elland Road, roughly half of the top two’s figures. Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s equaliser denied Manchester United a first Premier League win since August 30, a run now at five matches without a win. Leeds fans had been hoping for a first home win over the Red Devils in 24 years.

Russia had two entries in the top ten. Spartak Moscow’s 4-0 win over Rubin Kazan drew 33,353 to the Lukoil Arena, and Dynamo Moscow’s 3-1 win over CSKA Moscow attracted 23,926 to the VTB Arena.

English sides took up three of the top six places. Brighton’s 5-0 win over Crystal Palace drew 31,440 to the Amex Stadium, and Nottingham Forest’s 1-0 loss to Arsenal drew 30,893 to the City Ground.

The unexpected entries came in Germany, where Dynamo Dresden’s 2-0 win over Magdeburg drew 30,651 to the Rudolf-Harbig-Stadion, just 242 fewer than Forest managed at the City Ground. Arminia Bielefeld and Karlsruher SC also made the list with 26,750 and 24,823.
