Best football streaming sites (UK) in June 2026: Where to watch the England vs Croatia World Cup match

Let's be honest about live football in the UK. Sky Sports wants £40 a month. TNT Sports wants another £30. Amazon chips in with a handful of Premier League rounds in December that you will miss if you blink. Between them, they have carved up the rights so completely that watching the top flight legally costs about the same as a gym membership you will actually use.

Most of us found a workaround through the bookmakers. Fund an account, place a small bet or keep a balance, and you can stream hundreds of matches a year. That is the short version of why the best football live stream betting sites have quietly become the default for so many fans, and why “live sports streaming apps” usually means a bookmaker app on your phone rather than a dedicated service.

I have used betting sites to watch matches for close to 10 years, and I hold accounts with most of the major UK operators. In my view, the best UK betting site for football live streaming in June 2026 is bet365. A few others come close, notably Ladbrokes, Coral and William Hill. The rest range from useful second accounts to ones you would only open for a specific competition.

What follows is an honest read on the market and the 7 betting sites I actually recommend for watching live football streams in the UK. If you bet across more than football, our wider guide to the best live stream betting sites covers racing, tennis, cricket and the rest.

A quick note before we start: none of these sites can stream Premier League games. The rights cost too much and broadcasters aren't sharing. Everything below assumes you are after European football, cups and internationals.

Streaming the World Cup 2026 with bet365

The biggest football event in four years is about to land, and for the first time you can stream the whole thing through a bookmaker. The FIFA World Cup runs until 19 July 2026, with 48 teams and 104 matches, and bet365 is streaming every game for eligible account holders in the UK and Ireland. England begins the World Cup 2026 campaign against Croatia at the AT&T Stadium (Arlington, Texas) this Wednesday, 17 June, with kick off at 9 pm UK time.

It works the same way as the rest of bet365's live streaming coverage. You'll need a positive balance or to have placed a bet in the previous 24 hours. Then, you can open the stream from the football or World Cup page. Coverage runs to up to 4 games a day, with live odds and stats beside the picture on desktop, tablet and mobile.

How to watch and bet on England vs Croatia

  1. Go to Bet365
  2. Create an account or sign in to your account
  3. Make a deposit or place a bet
  4. Navigate to the match in the live section of the site
  5. Hit the play button to watch the England v Croatia match live

Our World Cup betting sites round-up covers the best operators and offers, while my colleague's World Cup betting guide eloquently walks you through markets, group-stage value and outright picks.

Create an account to stream

There is a reason most serious UK punters keep a bet365 account as their primary one. bet365 streams over 600k events worldwide every year, making it the biggest and best in the business by far. Beyond the World Cup live stream, you'll find everything from Brazilian league games and lower-tier Asian football to continental cup ties that don't show up anywhere else.

The bet in-stream feature is especially interesting, as it allows you to bet on the World Cup and other sporting events while watching. For the full scope of coverage, the Bet365 review covers it properly.

The app is the best of the seven here. It is clean and fast, and the stream does not drop when you switch markets or briefly navigate away, unlike at least two others on this list.

One frustration: the odds on popular markets are consistently shorter than the exchange operators' odds, so you are paying for convenience and coverage, and over a season, that costs you on returns.

Streaming needs a funded account or a bet in the last 24 hours; keep a small balance, and you'll never hit that limit. If you open only one account from this entire list, make it this one, and claim the Bet365 welcome offer when registering.

SIGN UP WITH LADBROKES

Ladbrokes is where I'd tell a friend to start if they've never used a betting site for streaming before.

The catalogue is genuinely wide. We're not just talking La Liga and Bundesliga. You'll regularly find second-division Spanish football, lower Portuguese league games, and midweek cup matches from leagues most UK punters barely know exist. For anyone who watches a lot of football, that depth matters across a long season. You can get a full picture of what's on offer in our Ladbrokes review.

Stream quality is reliable. I've watched Champions League qualifying on Ladbrokes in HD without a single dropout, which is more than I can say for some of the others on this list. The mobile experience is good enough that I've used it on the train without frustration.

The odds on some markets are a touch short compared to the exchange operators, but as a streaming platform, it's the best second account you can have alongside Bet365. New accounts can pick up the Ladbrokes welcome offer before getting started.

Coral and Ladbrokes are both owned by Entain, which means they share a lot of the same back-end, including their streaming agreements. The honest reason to hold a Coral account alongside it is that some rights are split between operators, so a game on one might not be on the other.

The Coral review goes into what is actually covered. The interface is clean and the odds sit roughly in line with William Hill. Nothing here will amaze you, and nothing will frustrate you either. It is the logical third account once you have bet365 and Ladbrokes.

When I opened Coral's Watch Live tab on 10 June 2026, 27 streams were running and another 166 were lined up for the day. Football alone showed 33 live and 106 upcoming, tennis 44 live and 235 upcoming, with table tennis (276 upcoming), horse racing (60), basketball, snooker and darts each behind their own counter.

The live list ran from a Spanish Segunda match, Málaga against UD Las Palmas, to youth internationals from the Toulon Tournament and a Brazilian Série B tie, the sort of fixture you will not find on UK TV. Each game pairs the stream with the full in-play board: the Málaga match carried more than 110 markets and a Bet Builder, with live odds and match stats updating beside the picture.

A practical caveat: you need to be logged in with an active account, meaning a funded balance (bonus excluded) or a bet placed in the last 24 hours. Football and most sports are free to watch on that basis.

Coral recommends a broadband connection of at least 500kbps, and the feed carries a short delay, usually two to four seconds and occasionally longer, so treat it as a guide rather than a split-second source when you bet in-play. First-time customers can access the Coral welcome offer when signing up.

William Hill is fine. That's not damning with faint praise; fine is actually what you want from a streaming platform.

The stream loads quickly, the quality holds up, and it covers the main European leagues without any gaps you'd notice week to week. The problem is it doesn't really do anything better than Bet365 or Ladbrokes, and the streaming catalogue is noticeably thinner once you get beyond the top five European leagues. Our William Hill review covers where the platform does and doesn't deliver in more detail.

Where William Hill does stand out is the app. It's genuinely one of the best mobile betting apps in the UK and streaming on it feels intentional rather than an afterthought bolted on to the main product. If you watch most of your football on a phone, that's worth something. On the desktop, I'd reach for Ladbrokes first. On mobile, William Hill is competitive. New customers should look at the William Hill sign up offer before depositing.

SIGN UP WITH BETFAIR

Betfair's streaming catalogue is the weakest on this list, by sheer volume.

If you're opening a first account purely to watch football, I'd send you to Bet365 or Ladbrokes before I'd send you here. That's just honest. The Betfair review explains why it still earns a place on this list despite that limitation.

The case for Betfair is specific: if you already use the exchange (best betting exchange sites), you can watch a game and trade on the market in the same window without switching tabs or second-guessing what's happening on the pitch. No other platform here offers that.

For exchange punters, it's genuinely useful. For everyone else, the selection just isn't big enough. If you do want to try it, the Betfair sign up offer is worth reading before you deposit.

Bwin is an odd one. The brand has serious European football credentials, having been a shirt sponsor of Real Madrid and an official Champions League partner at various points, but the UK product has never quite matched those associations.

The streaming catalogue is decent for European club football and noticeably good for Champions League qualifying, which some of the bigger operators skip over entirely. If you want the full breakdown before opening an account, the Bwin review is worth a read.

The interface is functional but dull. The app works. The odds are competitive on European markets. My honest take: Bwin is a sixth account, not a first one. Open it specifically for the Champions League qualifying coverage; don't expect it to replace Ladbrokes or Bet365 for anything else. New customers can claim the Bwin welcome bonus when registering.

Credit where it is due: Betfred had a full facelift in 2026, and the change is real. The site is modern, fast and easy to navigate, a world away from the dated setup it ran for years.

The problem, for this article specifically, is the streaming. At the time of testing in June 2026 the only live stream I could find was an eSoccer fixture, Spain (FORCE) against Morocco (HOLLYWOOD) in the eSoccer H2H GG League, which is computer-game football rather than a real match.

There was little clear information on what the live-streaming service otherwise covers or how to reach it. The in-play betting works well, with markets that update quickly, but virtual football is not why most people open a streaming account. Until Betfred makes real football streaming visible and reliable, I cannot recommend it on that basis, which is why it sits at the bottom of this list despite the much-improved site. If in-play betting rather than video is your priority, the Betfred review covers the sportsbook in full.

If you're opening an account, check the Betfred welcome bonus first.

Other ways to watch live football

Amazon Prime Video (Premier League)

Amazon Prime Video is the only option on this page that gives you actual Premier League football. The package covers a set of midweek rounds each season, usually in December, and the picture is as good as Sky. With a 30-day free trial for new subscribers, it is worth having for those rounds alone. It is not a full streaming setup, but it fills the one gap the bookmakers cannot cover. (Confirm current Prime price and trial terms before publishing.)

YouTube and free-to-air

YouTube occasionally hosts live football, usually international friendlies, early FA Cup rounds, or games from national federations in markets with looser rights. It is free and the quality is typically good enough.

Among the best legal football streaming sites free of charge, it sits alongside BBC iPlayer and ITVX, which carry the FA Cup final, England internationals, the Euros and parts of the World Cup. Worth a check when you cannot find a game elsewhere, though you would not plan a season around it.

Official broadcasters and DAZN

For completeness: in the UK the paid rights sit with Sky Sports, TNT Sports (via discovery+) and Amazon Prime Video, while DAZN GB carries a growing slice of European and women's football. These are the legal, highest-quality routes when a match is not on a bookmaker stream.

VPN and overseas broadcasters

US and Australian broadcasters hold European football under looser online terms, and a VPN reaches them from the UK for a few pounds a month. People clearly do this, but most platforms will close an account if they detect it, and it breaches their terms either way. If the bookmaker options above cover what you watch, there is no real need to go there.

Major competitions to look for

Premier League. August to May, 38 games a club, rights split between Sky, TNT Sports and Amazon. Bookmakers cannot stream it, and that is the one genuine gap in everything here.

FIFA World Cup. The 2026 edition (11 June to 19 July) is the headline event of the year, with the United States, Canada and Mexico hosting 48 teams. bet365 streams every match for eligible UK accounts, and BBC iPlayer and ITVX carry it free-to-air.

UEFA Champions League and Europa League. TNT Sports holds the main-stage domestic rights, shown via discovery+. If you are trying to watch a UEFA Champions League live stream online free, the realistic route is the qualifying rounds from July, which are widely available on bookmaker platforms and often feature genuinely interesting football. bet365 and bwin are both strong here.

FA Cup. The early rounds are where bookmaker streaming earns its money, with Premier League clubs drawn against Championship and League One sides. The final goes to ITV or BBC, so you will not need an account for that one.

Copa América and CONCACAF Champions Cup. Less well served by free-to-air here, so a funded account at bet365 or Ladbrokes tends to be the most reliable way to catch South and North American football, including clubs from Liga MX and MLS.

La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1. This is where bookmaker streaming comes into its own. All four run August to May, and bet365 and Ladbrokes between them cover the vast majority of fixtures. If you follow Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, PSG or anyone else from the UK, a funded account at either is cheaper and more comprehensive than any broadcast subscription on the market. For Premier League sides such as Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool or Arsenal, you are back to Sky, TNT and Amazon.

Frequently asked questions on streaming football

They are two separate things that usually sit on the same screen. Live streaming is the video feed of the match. Live betting, or in-play betting, is placing bets while the game is on, with odds that move as it unfolds. You can stream without betting, and bet in-play without watching, but the point of a good betting site for football live stream is that it puts both together.

Usually you need a funded account or a small qualifying bet. Keeping a modest balance is enough on most of these sites, including bet365.

No. Sky Sports, TNT Sports and Amazon Prime Video hold those rights, so no licensed bookmaker streams the Premier League.

bet365, on the strength of the widest catalogue and the best app. Ladbrokes is the strongest second account, with Coral and William Hill close behind.

No. Sky Sports, TNT Sports and Amazon Prime Video hold those rights, so no licensed bookmaker streams the Premier League.

Yes, within limits. BBC iPlayer and ITVX show the FA Cup final, England games, the Euros and parts of the World Cup at no cost, and YouTube occasionally carries friendlies and lower-round cup ties. Bookmaker streams are not paid as such, but they need a funded account, so they are not free in the strict sense.

The major bookmaker apps, bet365, Ladbrokes, William Hill and Coral, run on Android TV either through the native app or casting from a phone, alongside official apps like discovery+, Sky and Amazon Prime Video. bet365 is the smoothest of the betting apps on a big screen.

Yes. bet365 streams every game of World Cup 2026 for eligible account holders in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Greece and Australia, up to 4 games a day, with a funded account or a bet placed in the previous 24 hours.
