A Bodo/Glimt supporter was taken to hospital after several visiting fans fell through a section of the away stand during Sunday's Norwegian top-flight clash with Tromso.
The match at Romssa Arena was temporarily suspended following the incident, which occurred shortly before half-time.
Bodo/Glimt supporters fall through away stand at Tromso
Bodo/Glimt goalkeeper Nikita Haikin alerted the referee to the incident, with club press officer Simen Pedersen later telling Reuters that up to five supporters had fallen through the stand.
One fan, Andrine Moen, described the moment to local newspaper Verdens Gang, saying: “We stood and bounced to a supporter song, then the floor gave way.”
Moen added: “It cracked in two in the row in front of us. There were at least two people who fell through the floor, but we do not know how far they fell or how many fell in total.”
The remaining away supporters were subsequently moved to other areas of the stadium before the match was allowed to continue.
Despite the disruption and heavy rain at the northernmost venue in Norway's Eliteserien, the game resumed with the score goalless.
Bodo/Glimt forward Ola Brynhildsen then scored twice to secure a 2-0 victory, keeping the league leaders in their title battle with Viking ahead of the season's conclusion in the first week of December.
FGG Says: Serious questions will need to be answered
The incident is a worrying reminder of the importance of stadium safety, particularly when supporters are standing and celebrating during matches.
With one fan requiring hospital treatment, the circumstances surrounding the failure of the stand will need to be properly investigated to establish what went wrong and prevent a repeat.
