Celtic fans pay tribute to Joe Hart with heartwarming tifo

Having served the club admirably for almost three years after arriving at Celtic Park in 2021, supporters honoured Joe Harts's legacy with a touching tifo tribute against St. Mirren.

The English shot-stopper leaves the club having won the Scottish Premier League this season and still has the chance to win the Scottish Cup too.

Joe Hart was and still is a truly fantastic goalkeeper who, at various points during his illustrious career, has received criticism that was possibly unwarranted.

However, Celtic fans were keen to give the 37-year-old the send-off he deserved, unveiling a heartwarming banner in his honour ahead of kick-off. The banner, which simply read “Super Joe Hart”, was a reminder of the relationship he has with the fans at the club.

During his time with the Scottish giants, Hart won an impressive five trophies, including two league titles and three domestic cups, with an opportunity to add a fourth come Saturday, May 25.

Speaking ahead of the game, manager Brendan Rodgers, insisted Hart was loved by the fans, saying:

“He’s loved and adored by the supporters – they see he’s a genuine guy who has given his all for Celtic, and let’s hope in these next couple of games we can finish off his story and he can get off into the sunset successful and a legendary Celt.”

Given the farewell he then received, it certainly appears as though Rodgers was correct.

Speaking after the full-time whistle, Hart was clearly very appreciative of the love the Celtic Supporters have for him. He said: “Guys, I've never felt professionally that special before in my entire life.

“Myself, my family, from the bottom of my heart, I absolutely adore every single one of you, everyone associated with this football club.

Such a special place and I was asked yesterday, How do you explain this to people? I don't want to explain this to anyone, this is not a club that needs explaining, this is a club that speaks for itself. You guys are absolutely phenomenal, it's part of you, you've made me feel so special.

“Thank you, I absolutely love it, thank you so much for having me.”

Happy retirement Joe Hart, you certainly deserve it!
